Our bi community is growing, with new members, new events, and lots to celebrate! Here's what's been happening over the past month and a half.
Bi Bar - June 9. This was a very special edition of Bi Bar in honor of Pride month. We hosted a stage show MC'd by Nikki Lev. Several performers treated us to burlesque, acro-yoga, and music. It was fun, sexy, and inspiring. We have lots to celebrate as a community. As Nikki sang - We are the champions!
Portland Pride Parade - June 14. We represented Bi Pride for the world to see! Plus - the parade Grand Marshall this year was Kate Brown, who is bisexual and also our nation's only out LGBTQ governor. Sunday Assembly generously offered to let us join their contingent for the parade - thanks!
Bi/Pan Conversation Group - June 23. As always, a great discussion, and we were honored to welcome several new folks to the discussion.
Saturday Social - July 11. A NEW afternoon event at McMenamin's Chapel Pub. We met new people, caught up with each other, and talked about what makes us proud to be bi/pan.
Bi Bar - July 14. Another fun Bi Bar! Cool news: Willamette Week recognized our host bar, Crush, as Best LGBTQ Bar in Portland. And the write-up mentioned Bi Bar!
